I'm going to do my best to post once a month. Keep checking back.

9 Months

What Ryder has been up to this month:
*Giving kisses
*Making a wrestling match out of trying to change his diaper or his clothes
*Splashing like crazy in the tub
*Flashing the biggest squinty eye smile
*Celebrating his first Christmas
*Cruising around in his walker
*Loving to watch people
*Screaming (I accidently taught him this. For now its really cute, but I am sure someday I will regret showing him this.)
*Wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes with some 9-12 month pants and sleepers
*Reaching for anyone's fingers so he can walk around

Go Colts

We're disappointed with the outcome, but it we had fun company to watch the game with.

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

We reenacted the photo in the morning. Ryder was much more compliant than the night before.

Look at those teeth!

Here are a few takes of our many Christmas celebrations. Oh how much joy Ryder brought to Christmas this year. I think we are going to have to rent a storage unit to house all of his gifts.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

I tried to get a Christmas eve picture of Ryder in his new p.j.s. He wasn't having it. This was the best I could do.

We Made It

Thankfully our travel day was relatively easy compared to what a lot of people traveling on the same day had to deal with. Sunday was a LONG day, but Ryder was absolutely perfect. He couldn't have been any better. Of coarse everyone was ogling at him all day. He was eating it up.
He barely slept the entire day. Here he passed out in Brandon's arms (which he never does) for about two minutes. Poor little tired guy.

Look at that smile. He is enjoying our visit so far. He especially loved visiting his cousin Grace. Hi, Grace!

Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar

Who me?
Couldn't be?
Okay, maybe it was me.

Often times I just hand Ryder a few items from the cupboard to occupy him while I am doing something in the kitchen. Yesterdays toys included a can of veggies, a package of Ramen noodles, and a tupperware container of cookies (with a secure lid). After a bit I thought, he is being awfully quite. I turn around to see him double fisting the cookies into his mouth.

He's currently eating his weight in frozen peas and blueberries stopping intermittently to clap for himself. Never a dull moment here.

***Still no camera. Luckily a friend from church sent us these pics she took of Ryder a few weeks ago. Thanks so much, Grace.

Sorry, No Pictures

Gasp. I know its been since Saturday. Our camera is out of commission for the moment. I'm going a little crazy since Ryder has now lived three days completely undocumented. Rather than leave you hanging I thought I would give some Ryder facts....

I'm pretty sure he is getting another tooth. You can't feel it or see it, but he is acting exactly like the other two times he got a tooth. Let's hope it/ they come in before we go home for Christmas. Maybe I should hope he waits, so I can just pass him to a loving relative and get a break. :)

Ryder has become quite the pro at his walker. He can go into any room in house minus the bathroom (due to the door jam) If he can't see us and we call his name, he will come find us. If you push him back he will practically run to get back to where he was. His favorite thing to do is run into things hard enough to jolt his head. It gets quite the laugh.

He has developed a sense of which items we would not like him to play with and makes a bee line for them. Sometimes its like a race between him and me as to who can get there first.

That's all for now. Hopefully, we'll be back soon with some pics.

A Round of Applause

Ryder learned how to clap this morning. He got such a rise out of us that he is clapping non-stop now.

Thanks Uncle Bill and Aunt Lisa

Ryder got his first Christmas package in the mail today. He begged and begged to open it early. (wink, wink) I didn't have the heart to make him wait. I tried to get a picture of him with all his loot, but he just wanted to eat the bath bubbles.
Thanks Uncle Bill and Aunt Lisa. We love everything. The boots are ADORABLE and the perfect size for this winter.

Here's Ryder "opening" his package. Not quite the paper ripping extravaganza I was hoping for, but his face at the end when I ask him if we should open it is too cute not to share. Enjoy!

Good Morning!

Ryder's new super duper happy smile. Maybe he's happy because he slept in until almost 8:30 today or maybe that's just me.

One Man's Trash Is Another Man's Treasure

We found this walker on the side of the road to be thrown out while Ryder was still baking. We snatched it up. It's in perfect condition. After a good cleaning, we finally brought it up from the basement. Ryder and I have been having a ball with it today. While I miss my tiny little baby, it is so fun to watch him grow and learn new things.

Two Days

Two days ago it was 71 degrees.
Today this...

Gotta love Maine!
These temperature changes remind me of good ol' Indiana.

Baby Got Back

Baby also has two teeth now. It's been a ROUGH few days. Not that you would know it from these pics.
