I'm going to do my best to post once a month. Keep checking back.

Memorial Day 2011

We spent the day in Logansport visiting lots of family.  We even got to watch Grandpa Keith walk in the Logansport Memorial Day Parade which was definitely the highlight.
We also headed to B&K for Ryder's first baby beer.  It was such a nice day and quite the way to round out a vacation.

Vacation Is Tiring

We read our book and put the boys to bed.
This is how we found them a few hours later when we came in to go to bed. (The flash makes it look like daytime.)

Quite the location for Jack's first crawl to be captured on film, don't you think?

He was just waiting for the perfect moment, I guess.  He really just started crawling today.  He's everywhere already.  Fun, fun!

Time Flies

Jack loves to stand and play.
He is soooooooo close to crawling.
Ryder understands and can do so much on his own.
And he eats a banana like this now.
Please SLOW DOWN, my little darlings!

What Happens When You Have a Teacher For a Grandma

My mom brought over two caterpillars in cocoons so Ryder could watch them emerge as butterflies.  Here's our experience.
 the empty chrysalis
 the "butta" (according to Ryder)

 ready to go free
saying goodbye
We can't wait to do it again next year so Jack can participate.

Sorry about all the food on his face.  He's a messy eater.

Playing Legos

"Bocks?  Bocks?" a.k.a. "Mommy, can I play blocks".  This is a question I get a lot.  Sometimes I oblige the request and join him in the building fun.  I might have even caught myself saying "Ryder, don't mess up Mommy's blocks.  I'm building something".  Ha.  How lame is that?  I usually catch my lameness and let him completely destroy my masterpiece.  Today he was actually into my creations, so I built away.
I call this one: "Ryder"

40 Weeks, 4 days

Here we are 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant.  Brandon may not actually have been pregnant himself, but he puts up with a lot and does so much for 40 plus weeks.  Growing our children is a joint effort for sure.
And here is Jack at 40 weeks and four days.  Out as long as he was in.
 Oh, how we love him.
He's such a wonderful addition to our family.
Love you more than words, Jack-Jack.

Yep, we're still trying to push soccer on our kids

Just like with Ryder, we're hoping Jack will love it too.
Here's Ryder at a little over 6 months.  I had to wait for it to get warmer which is why Jack is a little over 9 months.

Mother's Day 2011

Love these fellas so so much.
Brandon and I both got to see our moms on Mother's Day weekend.  That's a first since we've been married.  Just another perk of living close.
And of course, the third annual "Kissy Face" picture.
(I couldn't pick between the two.  This bottom picture isn't perfect, but it captures his personality so well.)
